| Single wheel furniture
casters can be described simply as a small lightweight caster
having only one wheel rather than two. These casters generally
have a wheel size of 2 inches to 3 inches. Wheel thread or
compound is generally neoprene, but these casters are available
in many different compounds such as: rubber urethane and more.
These casters can be used on carpet or a hard floor surface. |

| Dual Wheel Casters |
| Dual wheel or dual disc
casters are commonly seen on office chairs and on other lightweight
office or home furniture. There are 2 wheels or discs on each
caster, which helps spread out the total weight of your load.
Wheel sizes are available from 1 – 5/8” to 3”.
When using these casters on carpet, the plastic wheel is fine.
When rolling on hardwood or tile floors, a urethane tread
should be used which will eliminate the possibility of marking
your floor. When appearance is important different hood colors
are available. Black, chrome, and bright brass are just a
few. |

| Ball Casters |
| Ball Casters are another
commonly used furniture caster rather than 1 wheel (single
wheel furniture caster) or dual discs (dual wheel casters).
The ball caster uses 1 ball for its wheel. Using a ball caster
increases the mobility of your load. They are available in
both rubber and urethane compounds. |
